This tool allows you to import a point cloud:

To import a point cloud:

Select the Import Point Cloud tool
Click to set the location for the cloud.

From the file dialog select an appropriate point cloud file. (the file types that work are *.PCD, *.XYZ, *.ASC)

Click open. The point cloud will be inserted into your model.
