The new layout (“Palette-like” in comparison with an old “Classic”) was created for the Render Manager (see Fig. 13). The key features of this layout are the following:Image Added

General

You can specify how the Render Manager is displayed by selecting either Classic or Palette-Like

Classic

  • Variable sized preview.
  • Tree can be hidden.
  • Each category of components is displayed on separate tabs.

Palette-like

  • Fixed square preview area (240x240) (red rectangle at the Fig. 13) 
  • The tree (blue rectangle at the Fig. 13) can not  cannot be hidden.
  • While resizing the dialog, only the tree’s height and the properties area (green rectangle at the Fig. 13) size (width and height) are changing
  • The new, “All in one” view was created for the case when the shaders set item is selected in the tree. In this view it is possible to see all properties of the shaders set. This view is replaced the old (uncomfortable and uninformative) view with the shaders icons (see Fig. 14).

Note

The Palette-like option is always used when the Render manager is accessed from object properties.

For the switching between old (“Classic”) and new (“Palette-like”) layouts of the Render Manager, the new options was added to the new “Render Manager Options” page (can be called via “Options/Render Manager Options” command). See Fig. 15.
